Finding the best porn site can be harder than it seems. Yes, the internet is like 99.9 percent porn — I mean, it feels like you can't click on anything without a random penis popping up on your screen. But if you want porn that's not only good but is also inclusive — not to mention realistic — things become a little bit more challenging.
Because a lot of mainstream porn is nothing like real life. “I began realizing through dating younger men that I was encountering an issue that would quite honestly never have crossed my mind if I had not encountered it so very intimately in person,” Cindy Gallop, creator of MakeLoveNotPorn (NSFW), a generated video-sharing site that shows real couples having sex, tells Bustle. “I realize I was encountering what happened when two things converge: when today’s total freedom of access to hardcore porn online meets our society’s equally total reluctance to talk open and honestly about sex. That results in porn becoming by default the sex education today and not in a good way." So Gallop set out to make a different kind of porn site — one that features real couples, and one with more heart. And it's amazing.
But she's not the only one trying to break the mold in the sex industry. There are a lot of people making amazing, inclusive porn that can fulfill all of your needs rather than, you know, two straight women pretending to have sex with each other before a guy joins in. Here's what you should check out (just be careful clicking on links because they are definitely NSFW).
1Indie Revolution Porn
Indie Porn Revolution (NSFW), formally No Fauxxx, claims to be the longest running queer porn site in history. "Subversive smut made by ladies, artists, and queers", their site has a little of everything, so you should really take the time to look around. They explain, "NoFauxxx.Com was created by Courtney Trouble in 2002 and is the longest-running indie queer porn site on the internet. It began as a small personal project, and became a legend when friends, media, and the adult industry took notice. It is the oldest running' 'queer' porn site on the internet, and to this date the only porn site to mix alt, gay, lesbian, straight, trans, kink, bbw genres into one common site." There's a lot happening, and it's hot AF.
2CrashPadSeries
The CrashPadSeries (NSFW) came out of the 2005 cult classic film Crash Pad and the series is dedicated to being inclusive and of course, hot as hell. "CrashPad members have come to expect the unexpected: They value our open casting and documentary-style approach to filming sex because it more closely mirrors their own communities," Jiz Lee, a performer and marketing director at Pink & White Productions behind CrashPad, told Tonic. "We are told from queer/trans folks in more isolated areas of the country (and elsewhere in the world) that they see themselves represented, and it makes them 'hopeful for a queer future.'" It's hugely popular in the queer community and definitely one to check out.
3Make Love Not Porn
Gallop's site, MakeLoveNotPorn (NSFW), has to make the list, just because it's so damn honest. She focuses on what sex really looks like among real couples, which is not only sexy but also pretty damn fascinating. “The reason why amateur is the biggest category of porn is because of a fundamental truth that we’re leveraging. Everyone wants to know what everyone is really doing in bed,” Gallop says. And she does it right.
4QueerPorn.tv
QueerPorn.tv (NSFW) is, well, exactly what it says. And in case that doesn't tell you, their homepage certainly does. From trans women to feminist porn stars to sex educators, it features people when they're most "kinkiest, raunchiest, filthiest, rawest, most passionate, radical, and real." What more could you ask for from a porn site?
5Lust Cinema
Not specifically billed as a queer site, Lust Cinema (NSFW) still has a lot to meet your needs — why? Well, Erika Lust is a feminist powerhouse. She curates this site to showcase the best directors offering an alternative to traditional porn. Straight, gay, or anywhere in between, I'd be really surprised if there wasn't something for you.
Oh, and as a bonus— check out XConfessions.com (NSFW) to see how Lust turned real people's fantasies into some incredibly sexy videos.
6PinkLabel.tv
It may not be as well-known as some of the other sites, but it's a great offering that supports up-and-coming directors and is dedicated to being inclusive. "Inspired by the creativity and originality of the erotic movies she saw at Berlin PornFilmFest and other festivals, Pink and White’s (NSFW) director/founder Shine Louise Houston created PinkLabel.tv (NSFW) in 2013 to provide a hosting platform for emerging and independent adult filmmakers," the site explains.
If you know where to look, there's a wealth of LGBTQ-friendly porn out there. Sure, the mainstream sites always have lots of different clips on offer, but backing indie porn sites that are inclusive just feels so damn good.
