‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ Season 2 Is On The Way

by Nina Bradley

Get ready to set sail. Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2 has an official premiere date: Tuesday, May 2. Not only that, but a press release also revealed plans to introduce the show's first female captain. It's definitely about to go down in this second coming of this reality spin-off, which has its sights set on the Mediterranean islands of Croatia this go 'round. And while the destination will be a new adventure for most of the cast, you can certainly bet that the level of below-deck drama will remain the same as chief stew, Hannah Ferrier, and deckhand, Bobby Giancola, are both returning for their second season on the ship.

And as the mega yacht gears up to hit the high sea, you can also rest assured that the new cast members will also be bringing their own brand of commotion to the ocean with the addition of newly minted crew members: chef, Adam Glick; second stew, Christine "Bugsy" Drake; third stew, Lauren Cohen; bosun, Wesley Walton; and deckhands Malia White and Max Hagley.

Check out the official trailer below:

In an exciting twist to this year's lineup, BDM Season 2 will see the entrance of Sandy Yawn. Yawn's appearance will make history for the oceanic franchise, as she will become the first female captain to join the reality series. It's worth pointing out her considerable expertise in navigating the high seas, holding over 27 years of yachting experience under her belt. So, it goes without saying that her presence on the show will definitely be worth watching.

It certainly sounds like it's going to be a great season for the the hit show, as the trailer hints at a few possible hook-ups and also promises the drama of the most love triangles in Below Deck history, according to E! News.

When this crew officially sets sail on Bravo this May, I'll definitely be on board.
