What’s Going On In This Pic Of BSB?

The moment BSB fans have been waiting for since September is just around the corner: On March 1, the Backstreet Boys' Las Vegas residency will begin. And do you know who seems to be as amped as we are? All five Boys of Backstreet. “Opening night is two weeks away!!” the boys band’s Twitter account posted on Wednesday. “It’s about to go down.” The tweet ends with a praise hands emoji, a hashtag, and an intriguing photograph of BSB. And now I can’t stop staring at the photograph.

Y'all, this picture is weird. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful snapshot, but it definitely has its strange moments. And you know what? Those strange moments only make love it more. This picture has got it going on.

Now, if I may be so bold, I would like to cast some questions about this image out into the universe. I may never reel in the answers, but it is worth a shot. But before we get to my questions, here is the stunning photo in all of its bizarre glory. Go ahead and drink in every last detail. Spend as much time with it as you need. We aren't in a rush.

On First Glance, I Thought They Were Down A Backstreet Boy, So I Was Like, "Where's The Fifth Backstreet Boy?"

But after I took a microfiber cloth to my glasses, I realized I was wrong. Nick Carter is in the picture. He’s just, uh, tucked behind some laser beams. I mean, I think that’s Carter. That looks like Carter’s eyeball. That looks like Carter’s hair. I’m going to go ahead assume it’s Carter. Which brings me to my real Q: Why is Carter hidden?

Or like a head that sprouted from AJ McLean's shoulder?

Now, About Those Laser Beams: What’s That Tron Web Made Out Of?

Are those ropes of LED lights? Or glowing PVC tubes? Or, like, giant glow sticks? Or is this a hologram situation? Is this Tron box part of the show?

Is Kevin Richardson Wearing A Robe?

I really hope he is. If I was a pop icon, I wouldn’t think twice about wearing a luxurious robe to a photoshoot. Whatever he’s wearing, he looks great.
