Serena Williams Reportedly Tied The Knot & You Won’t Believe The Guest List

After giving birth to an adorable baby girl, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are married, according to People and E! News. The news broke on Thursday, Nov. 16. Although neither of them have yet to post any sort of announcement on Instagram, the wedding details being reported sound absolutely incredible. And yes, the guest list is next level. (Bustle reached out to reps for Williams for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.)

According to People, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian were in attendance at the New Orleans ceremony. Sure, that might make the average person's jaw drop, but this is the tennis champion we're talking about. Plus, Williams did appear in Bey's "Sorry" video for Lemonade, and it was Queen Bey who spilled the news about Williams' daughter being born before she even announced it herself. Basically, they're true pals. As for Kardashian, the pair have been friends for awhile, posting photos together in 2015.

Besides that, of course, her sister Venus Williams reportedly attended, as did Ciara and La La Anthony, according to E! News. And as you probably suspected, the couple's newborn daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian was also there. Given the fact that little Alexis Olympia already has her own Instagram, it's surely just a matter of time before fans will get to see what she wore on the big day, right?

And if you thought the guest list was impressive, you're going to love this next part. Prior to the event, Entertainment Tonight reported that the wedding would have a Beauty and the Beast theme. However, the site did not elaborate on exactly how the ceremony would accomplish that. But given how popular the Disney movie is, you can use your imagination until concrete photos and details are revealed. Maybe that includes elaborate candelabras or tea cups with little faces. Perhaps they rented a giant beast costume for someone to walk around in? (OK, probably not to that last part.)

Making the occasion even sweeter, People also reported that Williams' longtime coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, wished the pair a happy wedding day earlier on Thursday. Along with a photo of the bride and groom-to-be, he wrote the following caption:

"@serenawilliams I send you all my positive feelings for that very special day. I wish you a very happy wedding, a fantastic party and a full life of happiness with @alexisohanian"

As you may recall, Williams and Ohanian got engaged in 2016. The pair reportedly met a year prior in October 2015, according to Us Weekly. And since Ohanian is the cofounder of Reddit, they broke the engagement news on his website, obviously. At the time, Williams wrote,

It's also on Reddit that Williams penned a letter about body confidence to her young daughter. Given this pattern, perhaps it's on Reddit that the newlyweds will share photos and more details from their big day. Not only would it be super sweet, but it'd be incredibly on brand.

At the time of reporting, neither Beyoncé nor Kim K has posted anything about the big event on social either. Perhaps they enforced a strict no-photo rule, or they're going to let Williams take the lead on this one and share when she's ready. Regardless, a major congratulations sounds like it's in order.
