Selena Gomez is a fashion darling these days. Between her chic red carpet looks and new collaboration with none other than Stuart Vevers and Coach, Gomez is a star designers love to dress. So it's no huge surprise that Selena Gomez at the 2017 Met Gala was a fashion lovers dream. Although at first glance it doesn't seem that Gomez adhered to this year's theme of Rei Kawakubo x Commes de Garçons too closely, Gomez's reportedly Coach-designed gown (makes sense, right?), complete with spaghetti straps and a thigh-high slit was undeniably chic. The romantic look was complemented by simple heels, a pretty clutch, and a pop of bright pink eye shadow. The singer's new bob was sleek and sexy, balancing out the softness of the gown.
Gomez has walked the Met Gala red carpet in the past, wearing a relatively simple black-and-white V-neck gown by Louis Vuitton in 2016. In 2015, the actress/singer wore a slightly more complex (but equally stunning) white Vera Wang number. The 2015 dress, which featured a low back and was accessorized with a white flower in her hair, is one of my favorite Met Gala looks of the past, but it's fair to say that this year's dress may give it a run for its money given that it is so different for the star.
