Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively Are On 'Humans Of New York'
Just in case you needed one more reason why Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are #RelationshipGoals, here it is. On Monday night, the couple attended the 2017 Met Gala (looking absolutely amazing, as per usual) and while they were there, they happened to talk to a pretty popular blog. Yes, that's right: Lively and Reynolds made Humans of New York, and it happened to give Reynolds the perfect opportunity to gush about his wife.
Their feature appeared on the blog's official Instagram late Monday night, including a photo of Reynolds and Lively cozying up to each other in their gala outfits. Despite the fact that they're both super dressed up, in the picture, they look less like a Hollywood power couple and more like any real life couple who actually love each other.
Although it's not clear whether or not Lively talked to the blog, Reynolds definitely did, and everything he had to say was so complimentary of his wife. He talked about her empathy, how she supported him through the death of his estranged father, and the ways that she's made him a better person. If these two don't end up staying together forever, there's a very good chance love just isn't real.
Reynolds said:
"She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times."
Since Reynolds and Lively are so known for their support of each other — both in their personal lives and their careers — this feature is just the icing on the cake. But it's pretty awesome that the actor would not only take the time to talk to Humans of New York at the gala but also use it as a chance to share his love and admiration for Lively with the world. How perfect are these two?
Now, all we need are more family photos. Maybe next time they're featured, it'll include James and Ines? I can only hope.
