This Bachelor season was certainly dramatic, so it's fitting that it ended with another huge moment. Rachel met her Bachelorette contestants early, as in, like, before her filming even started.
The first guy, Demarius, proposed marriage before saying hello, so if that's the way things are going to go on Rachel's season, I say she's going to do well. The next guy, Blake, mumbled a little and gave Rachel a side hug, but he was nervous and adorable (Rachel was, too). After Blake came Dean, a man with Jimmy Neutron hair who made a "once you go black, you never go back" joke, which, dude? Is this something we're still saying, especially on national television? Anyway, Eric said that he wanted to be friends first, which is exactly what I'd respond to if I were a Bachelorette — it really takes the pressure off. Rachel only met four men on After The Final Rose, and it seems like she is so ready for more. Personally, I'd be down to watch Rachel meet everyone live — she seems so cool and ready to embrace this whole experience, and I am ready to embrace it with her. Rachel is a Bachelorette for a new age!
I'm shocked that the producers pulled the wool over her eyes and let this whole thing stay a secret for so long — Rachel told audience members after the show was over that she had absolutely no idea that she would be meeting her first four suitors, and she really did seem surprised. Like any good Bachelorette, she's able to roll with the punches, and I think she's going to have a fantastic time being the Bachelorette.
