The 2017 Miss Universe Pageant was filled with stunning national costumes and incredible gowns, but true to her title as Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach's gowns at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant may have out shown everything else on the stage. After all, she's had the title for the past year for a reason. Plus, with her stunning record of wearing gorgeous fashions — her winning blue dress from 2015 was gorgeous — it's no wonder her gown at Sunday's pageant was stunning.
Wurtzbach's reign as Miss Universe has been full of expansive travel and charity work, and while she may always have the mix-up between she and Miss Columbia Ariadna Gutierrez as an addendum to her reign, she's also forged her own path.
On Sunday, she continued to forge that path by appearing at the pageant to crown one of the over 85 women competing with the new title — though not necessarily a new crown. During her appearance, her first gown was hard to miss. The stunning fuchsia gown was the perfect blend of drama and simplicity with a chic strapless top and column silhouette that was accented with a stunning gathering on her hip. Basically, the look was gorgeous on Wurtzbach. It was clearly a great way to start the night, and while all of the competitors looked stunning in their national costumes and evening gowns, Wurtzbach was still hard to miss.
The vibrant look was incredible, and it hasn't been her only one of the night. She began the evening on the red carpet in, of course, red.
As for Wurtzbach's final gown of the night, she channeled her inner Disney Cinderella according to Twitter, and I must say that I agree.
It was a total moment and the perfect gown to say good-bye in.
Wurtzbach showed just how stylish her Miss Universe reign has been, and I doubt it will slow down from here.
