Now, Pat McGrath's new core collection is coming your way, and you're going to want every single product. From shadows to lipsticks, Pat McGrath is giving fans a cosmetics feast of colorful products. McGrath's beauty brand — Pat McGrath Labs — has been crafting small quantities of limited-edition products for a while, but until now, many of her most well-known goods (like her Skin Fetish highlighting kit) had been all but devoid of bold color. That's changing with the new core collection.
According to WWD, the collection will feature 40 lipsticks with two different finishes, 11 lip liners, five eyeliners, a mascara, and three eyeshadow palettes. Essentially, Pat McGrath is coming for your whole face, and you'll want to be coated in the new Core Collection from head to toe.
So, when will the Pat McGrath Core Collection be available? The roll-out is actually more of a process than a blanket launch with the products becoming available at two different times. The first launch will be Sept. 16 with a subsequent launch on Sept. 28, and McGrath has teased some "secret" shopping opportunities.
However, if you want to shop in select Sephora stores, mark Oct. 6 on your calendar.
On Tuesday, McGrath gathered beauty editors in New York City to debut the collection, revealing that each piece was a colorful stunner. It's not just the products themselves, either. The packaging is also incredible.
At the preview event, McGrath revealed to Bustle that the artwork is actually sourced from fan art found on Instagram. McGrath direct messaged the artists and used their stunning work to adorn her own.
As for swatches, initial looks at the eyeshadow palettes show just how pigmented they'll be on your eyelids.
When used on models, the products are even more breathtaking.
McGrath told WWD, "A lot of these colors are my all-time colors for the last 25 years...[you can] shop my archive. I can say, 'This was the palette when you saw me do a tan and bronze for Versace.' I re-created shadows that I had to make to get that beautiful, rich, seductive brown or that incredibly metallic gold pigment that doesn't exist unless it's made of out of eight different formulas."
Clearly, McGrath is a visionary, and now, she's bringing her visions to life. By crafting the Pat McGrath Labs Core Collection, she is giving fans a way to recreate her iconic looks while also inviting them to craft their own unique styles.
