There’s An Oreo “Cookie Club” & It’ll Deliver Your Favorite Cookies Right to Your House

by Brandi Neal

You can get pretty much anything delivered these days, which means if you never want to leave your house again, you don't have to. The latest on-demand craze involves Oreo cookies. That's right, the Oreo Cookie Club Subscription Box will send you different flavors, recipes, and swag every month so you can make all of your childhood cookie-monster dreams come true. While your busy AF adulting with your food subscription box that teaches you how to cook like a grown-ass woman, your makeup subscription box stocked full of the latest trends, and your goddess subscription box to help make self-care a priority, sometimes all you want is a freakin' cookie.

Ask and you shall receive. This cookie fantasy box comes with two Oreo flavors, a one-of-a-kind Oreo-inspired gift, and a recipe card so you can make your own Oreo-inspired treats at home. And, because presentation is everything, your beloved Oreos will be delivered every month in a beautiful box. You can reuse the box for things like makeup, or you can use it to wrap a gift, though the recipient might be upset when they realize there are not actually Oreos inside.

If Oreos are the one thing you always buy without fail while at the grocery store, you can sign up for a three, six, or 12-month subscription of Oreo cookies or chocolate candy. A three-month commitment will set you back about $60; a six-month subscription costs around $120; and entering into a 12-month relationship with Oreo is around $240.

You also might not know that the original Oreo recipe used pork fat, and didn't become a kosher cookie until 1998. The world's best-selling cookie, Oreos are available in more than 100 countries, which means when you're traveling you can still enjoy the comforts of home. And, more than 450 billion Oreos have been sold since 1912, Time reported. However, the subscription box is only available in the U.S., which has left some international cookie monsters with major FOMO.

If this review on Amazon is any indication, cookie lovers are absolutely gaga over getting their Oreos delivered. "I was stepping out on a limb buying into an unknown ... but was pleasantly surprised!" reviewer Charles H. wrote on Amazon. "Inside the January box was a completely new flavor (spoiler alert: Hot and Spicy Cinnamon) and there was another package of Oreos that I didn't even know was [on] the market, Hazelnut Oreo!"

Oreos were introduced in 1912 with a 71 percent to 29 percent cookie-to-creme ratio, according to Time. With all the change in the world, it's nice to know that Oreos have major staying power, and they will always be there for you. And, maybe one of the reasons for the continued popularity of the Oreo is the fact that it's an interactive-cookie experience that encouraged mindful eating long before anyone knew that was a thing.

The blog Neatorama reported that a survey of Oreo lovers indicated that 31 percent of people eat the cookie and icing together; 25 percent twist their Oreos apart; 16 percent eat the icing first (this is me all day); 9 percent claim to have their own secret and complex way of enjoying Oreos; 7 percent claim to eat the cookie first and the icing last, though how they do this isn't clear; and 3 percent imitate the person they're eating Oreos with.

Aside from being the world's most popular cookie, it's clearly also the most fun. And, it evokes childhood memories that don't include paying bills, going to work, or doing taxes. Seriously, why did we ever want to grow up? Kids and their cookies really don't know how good they have it. But, if you order the subscription box you can get a nice surprise every month that gives you permission to spend an afternoon being nostalgic for your childhood. It's the least you deserve for all of that adulting you've been doing.
