The 'DWTS' Double Elimination Sent 2 Faves Home

Just when you thought Dancing With The Stars was getting boring — BAM! On the April 24 episode, Heather Morris was sent home after getting the first perfect score of the season. On the May 1 episode, there was a secret (to the viewers at home, at least) double elimination! Shocker! Nancy Kerrigan and Nick Viall were sent home on Dancing With The Stars after a round of dancing and then a dance-off each. That’s way harsh, Tom Bergeron.

In terms of who deserved to get sent home, I’m torn. Nancy Kerrigan is an Olympian and an athlete, but she never seemed to be comfortable on the dance floor. She can move and she can learn choreography just fine, it seems, but sometimes it looked like Nancy didn’t want to be there. On the other hand, Nick Viall was born to be in front of a camera. It’s not that he has any real talent or anything — he’s just really comfortable being in front of a camera. He’s been on something like… 42 seasons of Bachelor Nation shows, and he knows what kind of faces to make and how to shake that thing. He wasn’t the greatest dancer, but he liked to dance it out on television. Who wins here? Twitter users were split about the elimination.

But all in all, like the Highlander, there can only be one Mirrorball trophy winner. That’s the whole point here, is that people have to go home so someone can win. Nick and Nancy were just not meant to take home the Mirrorball trophy for this season of Dancing With The Stars. Start casting bets for which TV show he'll find himself on next...
