It's hard not to root for the home team, right? When your home team is Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber, though, I'd probably root for her even any way. The stunning contestant is killing it on stage, and while it's not totally her fashion, Miss USA's Miss Universe 2017 gowns are nearly as perfect as she is. Considering that she's surrounded by contestants from all around the globe, standing out could be difficult, but Miss USA is truly one to watch as the pageant progresses.
Barber first made waves when she won her current title of Miss USA. Not only was she an early frontrunner during that competition due to her killer confidence, but she's also incredibly inspiration. Barber is the first Miss USA winner to serve in the US Army Reserves, and perhaps due to her service, her platform during her reign has been dedicated to helping raise awareness for suicide prevention and PTSD in the armed forces.
Basically, she's a winner on the stage and off. At Sunday's Miss USA 2017 competition, she truly stood out, and while things may be tense in the USA right now, at least, we've all got MISS USA to cheer for during tonight's competition. With her gorgeous looks, it's not that hard.
