Thanks to Kim Kardashian and the evolution of smartphones, the "selfie" is now officially a part of the English language. Wednesday, Jun. 21, marks National Selfie Day, which of course means that you either have to spend the day taking photos of yourself and posting them online... or you have to have a good laugh at the entire concept of a selfie with the help of these hilarious memes. If you're feeling extra ambitious, you can do both.

The whole concept of a selfie has always been somewhat mindboggling to me. I kind of understand it if you're wanting to get a picture of yourself in front of a famous landmark or landscape and there's no one around to help you, but as far as bathroom, car, and cubical selfies go... I just don't get it. But that's OK, because millions of other people do. Whether you're all for the selfies or don't even know what your best angle is, these memes are bound to crack you up.

At this point, it's hard to imagine there's anyone on the planet who hasn't taken a selfie or two. That being said, maybe it's time we all just embrace it. Now flip that camera around and get to snapping.
