Another day, another chance to fawn over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Seeing the engaged royal couple doesn't get old, and for fashion obsessed fans, seeing Markle's style during outings is equally as exciting. On their most recent outing, Meghan Markle's tartan Burberry coat basically stole the show. Considering that the couple's appearance was in Scotland, it was basically the most appropriately Scottish thing Markle could have worn. And obviously she looked great in it.

The pair are on a royal tour of Scotland together and kicked off their visit at Edinburgh Castle. According to US Weekly, the pair were graced with a performance by the Band of the Royal Marines and met Cruachan, the shetland pony who is the mascot for the Royal Regiment of Scotland. While everyone loves ponies, Prince Harry may not be so fond after the adorable mini horse tried to bite him.

While a royal almost getting bitten by a pony deserves its own headline, so does Markle's very Scottish and ultra-luxe coat. The below-the-knee coat featured an on-theme green and navy tartan print (a traditional Scottish staple) and was designed by UK based brand Burberry. Basically, it was the perfect choice for the occasion.

According to The Cut, Markle paired the coat with a chic all-black ensemble underneath. She wore a Woolford turtleneck body suit and wide-leg trousers from Veronica Beard. As for her accessories, there's that stunning three diamond engagement ring, and her cute, mini cross-body bag was from the brand Strathberry, which also happens to be based in Edinburgh. She's also worn the brand's bags in the past.

Some Twitter users had a bit of fun with Markle's coat which just so happened to make the horse blanket Cruachan was wearing.

The jokes, however, seem to be in good fun.

For those not noting the similarities, they're wondering where the coat is actually from.

There's good news and bad news on that front. As many outlets have reported, Markle's coat is from Burberry, and it's actually available at Net-a-Porter. The bad news, however, is that it rings in just under $3,000. So, if you're looking for an investment piece, Markle's tartan coat would certainly be one.

Markle's Burberry coat, however, isn't the only one that fans are in love with. It seems that people are obsessed with her collection as a whole. From her white engagement coat to her Sentaler belted trench, there's clearly a lot of great looks to choose from in her closet.

Markle, however, isn't the only royal who knows how to wear a great coat at the perfect time. A Twitter user astutely compared Markle's coat with that of Kate Middleton. While they have different silhouettes and details, the royal family definitely seems to know how to dress on-theme.

If you don't want to spend almost $3,000 on a coat, there are a few options. But with the winter season winding down, it may be difficult to find an exact alternative.

Tommy Hilfiger Plaid Trenchcoat, $118, Lord & Taylor

While this trench is more plaid than Tartan, it is similar to Markle's —and it's a massive fraction of the cost.

Tartan Woold-Blend Trench Coat, $159.20, Brooks Brothers

While this tartan trench is red and green as opposed to Markle's green and navy, it's still a gorgeous option for those looking to get Markle's look.

While Prince Harry nearly getting bitten by a pony may be fun news, Markle's tartan Burberry coat is as well. Who doesn't love a future royal that use fashion as an homage?

In this piece, Markle proves that she certainly knows how to mix style with a theme.
