Here's Every Clue About What Kim Kardashian Will Name Baby Number 3
For all the Kim K enthusiasts out there who've been biting their nails: the ostensibly endless wait for Kim Kardashian's new baby is over. And, per an announcement by TMZ that Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West welcomed a new baby girl via surrogate on, the verdict is still out on what Kim Kardashian's new baby's name will be.
Kardashian-West and West welcomed their new baby girl on Monday, January 17th via surrogate due to complications that Kardashian had with her last two pregnancies. While Kardashian-West announced the happy news on her website, she hasn't yet given us a hint about what their new baby's name might be.
In an age of reality show empires, brand influencers, and social media personalities, the daily going's on of the Internet's most obsessed-about are routinely, well, obsessed about. And, as far as good old-fashioned conjecture goes, there are few things that rabid pop culture mongers love to deliberate more than the potential moniker of an almost-born celebrity baby (the only exception being, of course, two almost-born celebrity babies).
Needless to say — and to literally no one's surprise — the moment fans caught wind of Kim K and Kanye West's baby No. 3, the new baby instantly became the newest (and tiniest) member of the Kardashian-West clan worth obsessing over. (Bustle reached out to Kardashian's rep but hasn't yet received response.)
Talk of what the newest Kardashian-West member's name has been rumbling around for several months now, since Kim K first opened up about her experience having a child via surrogacy in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Kardashian-West, who weathered two notoriously difficult pregnancies with her first two children, 4-year-old North and 1-year-old Saint, called the surrogacy process "really different."
"Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong," she told Entertainment Tonight, debunking an oft-circulated claim about women, like Kardashian-West, who have had children via surrogacy.
Kim K continued, "I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control. And, you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still ... knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. So, it's definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area."
But the 37-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians mogul really stirred up the first sizable bout of baby-related attention when she revealed the sex of their little girl on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in November. Still, no mention of any name.
"At the baby shower, I was like, 'I just want everyone to write a name on a little tile and see if there is something that sticks,'" she said. "We're freaking out, we have no name."
While Kardashian-West herself might have been keeping a tight lip on baby names, her eldest daughter, North, seemed to have a couple of ideas. "[North] has a toy, a llama," she explained to DeGeneres. "She named it Star West. She names everything Star West."
Of course, the lack of a name announcement for the new Kardashian-West girl has fans guessing about some rather strange options for the new addition.
As far as naming her third child is concerned, Kim K was unmoved by North's suggestion. "I'm not vibing with it," she cracked. But — if "North" and "Saint" were any indications — the Kardashian-West clan has never been too keen on convention, but as of now we'll have to wait to find out.
