Kim K Teased An Eyeshadow Palette & Fans Can’t Handle It

by Amy Sciarretto

The KKW Beauty teases are coming in waves. Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian teased her upcoming concealers in a "first look" Snapchat story with her longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. Kardashian and Dedivanovic are collaborating on a makeup collection, as well, and they just teased another maaaj detail about what's to come.

KKW teased what looks like an eyeshadow palette on the KKW Beauty Instagram feed and the internet responded with glee, because of course it did. Get those lids ready, because amazingness awaits.

Here's what the tease, which boasts the black and white filter, reveals. Several circular, magnetic pans are positioned in a Z-palette, which is the packaging that allows you to arrange shades as you wish and to refill it as you hit pan. You can discern textures from the image — there are shimmers and mattes.

A generic KKW x Mario label is at the top, so that the people developing the product know what they are working on. Now, so do we. Kardashian added a "Shh!" emoji to the image, even though the hint is hiding in plain sight.

Lastly, the caption celebrates the makeup mogul's decade-long collab with the MUA, and reveals that their collab is coming in what feels like a "sooner than later" situation.

The greyed out filter prevents us from being able to appreciate the actual eyeshadow colors, which is not an accident — the duo wants to keep us guessing. The shadows could be any hue in the rainbow, although it might be safe to assume that these will be browns and blacks for smoky eyes, since that's a KKW signature. Also, please remember this is just a teaser image and these are prototypes and samples for the team to test, play with, adjust, and amend as part of the development process. The palette likely won't feature loose, arrangeable shadows in Z Palette formation — it is entirely likely that the shadow pans will be fixed and bolted into a branded package.

KKW and MD are quite the duo. Together, they have crafted Kardashian's hallmark, familiar, and oft-copied makeup style.

The excitement is palpable, as makeupistas are already pledging their allegiance and revealing their plans to purchase, sight unseen. That's a testament to the power of Kardashian's brand and her fans believing in what she has to offer.

Fans and commenters have all the faith in the world that this palette is going to be ace.

This Twitter user is about to become a KKW Beauty customer based on the palette alone. That's pretty serious.

Another user cited just how glam KKW and MD are as a pair.

The KKW Beauty empire already consists of nude liquid lipsticks, cream contour kits, powder contour products, the fragrances, and the UltraLight Beam powder and glosses. Now, Kardashian is about to add eyeshadow to her repertoire, with an assist from her longtime beauty partner in crime. There is just no way KKW x MD won't be rad AF.
