Jade & Tanner Have Finally Revealed Their Daughter’s… Instagram Handle & Lots Of Pics Too

On Thursday, Jade Roper and Tanner Colbert welcomed their first child. The couple shared the news in several Instagram posts, which showed pictures from the hospital and confirmed that everyone was happy and healthy. At the time of the initial announcement, the two stars didn't share their newborn baby girl's name. But, on Monday, in a separate Instagram post, Jade and Tanner revealed that they named their daughter Emerson Avery Tolbert.

It may have taken the couple a few days to settle on a name, as according to E! news, the baby arrived an entire month before she was due. It's possible that the parents hadn't yet decided when they left for the hospital. Along with the formal announcement, the couple revealed that the baby will also be called "Emmy" for short, which makes this name an even more adorable choice.

Jade and Tanner met and got engaged on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise. The two are one of the Bachelor franchise's greatest romantic success stories, and they wed in 2016. The couple announced that Jade was pregnant with a baby girl back in May, and they have shared plenty of family updates on social media since. The two issued the following statement to E! News on Thursday:

She's here, our little sweetheart! Tanner and I are very proud to announce the arrival of our baby girl this Thursday morning. There's truly no words to describe the feeling holding you in our arms for the first time and looking into your eyes. We love you, precious girl.

A rep also confirmed to the news site that both Jade and Emmy were doing well. The proud parents have already shared plenty of cute pics of the newborn on Instagram, including Sunday's special post to share their daughter's name:

The photo shows the baby swaddled in a whimsical blanket and laying on another fleecy throw that has her name on it. The caption reads: "It's official! Say hello to Emerson Avery Tolbert! "Emmy" for short. 💗 Born just a little early at exactly 36 weeks, she arrived weighing 6lbs 8oz and measuring 20" long! She is such an angel and we can't get enough of her!" It's a super cute pic, and it's clear that both parents are so excited about their new baby.

While the name announcement was posted to Jade's Instagram, Tanner has also been sharing lots of sweet and funny pics of his new daughter. In addition to a pic on Thursday just to let fans know that the baby had arrived and everyone was doing great, Tanner has posted plenty of further updates.

Tanner posted on Thursday to update friends and fans about the baby, writing on Instagram: "Love My Girls... @babyjanner arrived this morning at 10:03 AM... she decided to surprise us and come a little early... but mom and her are doing great... Best day of my life." At the time, he simply called the newborn "baby Janner", which, luckily, didn't end up being their daughter's name. The new dad also shared some funny pictures on Sunday.

This pic, which shows Emmy in the hospital, reads, "'I gotta wear shades cuz my future so bright' - @babyjanner#diffeyewear". Tanner also shared a video where his daughter has the hiccups, and it's just as adorable.

The hilarious caption on the video reads: "When you've had a few too many drinks... 🍼 @emmy_tolbert #milkhiccups #milkdrunk". The reality star revealed that the baby now has her own Instagram account, so fans can find all these cute baby updates in one place. The description on Emmy's own account reads "Formerly Known As Baby Janner. *Space where my mom and dad can have a virtual baby book of me.*"

It's an exciting time for these new parents, and luckily for fans, these two are documenting their time with their new baby on social media. While it's the end of an era for Baby Janner (was anyone else worried they might actually name their daughter that for a second there?) it's just the beginning for Emerson Avery Tolbert.
