Interesting Relationship Habits You Might Have, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

If you're in a relationship, you might notice weird tendencies from both you and your partner. Of course, you'll need to accept your partner as is, if you want the relationship to, work, but the stars can help guide you to find a match who is more compatible for you. Since the zodiac can actually be pretty accurate when it comes to matching people and explaining common tendencies and personality patterns, it's smart to dial in and see what's going on.

As a certified health coach, I work with clients on feeling good with their partners, but mostly with themselves, too. That means, for all your weird habits and relationship issues you might have, you're still supposed to honor that self-love. Besides, if theres' a partner who isn't a good fit, so be it. There are more out there. Yet, if these habits are common (you recognize that), and you realize you aren't thrilled with how they make you look or the effects of them, it might be smart to try and seek help and find a way to improve in the future. So, what are these freaky habits that might pop up? Luckily, we got astrologer Valerie Mesa to weigh in on these weird but interesting relationship habits you might have based on your zodiac sign.

1. Aries

This sign needs constant thrill. "Once the intensity and the passion fades, Aries can become easily bored with their partner," says Mesa. It’s almost like they need to constantly go to war for something so they can feel alive, she adds. Not a great thing. To avoid this, make sure you're constantly do fun things that still come on as a surprise.

2. Taurus

Heads up: Don't bail on dinner plans with Taurus. "Taurus loves to plan ahead, but if their partner changes their mind about something they both agreed on, this won’t sit well with Taurus," says Mesa. And, don’t mess with their routine, either, she says, as they aren't very spontaneous or keen on change.

3. Gemini

"Gemini loves to interact and observe their surroundings - even when in a relationship," says Mesa, which can be great, but you'll also need to work on that solo time to connect, as well. "They’re a fan of double dating and group outings where they can bring friends along," she adds. Warning: If you can’t get along with Gemini’s friends, you’re not going to get along with Gemini, though.

4. Cancer

"When Cancer feels completely secure with their partner, they become a bit agoraphobic," says Mesa, so don't be surprised if your SO wants to stay in a cook and cuddle each night. "Leaving the house simply won’t be necessary unless food is involved, and Cancer has the habit of disappearing from the face of the earth every time they fall in love," warns Mesa. In a way, it can be obsessive behavior, too.

5. Leo

We all know Leo loves to be center of attention, but what happens when they’re already taken? It’s simple. Their partner becomes their costar, says Mesa. "Leo is a fan of all things romantic, which of course includes serious PDA," she says. Sound effects included.

6. Virgo

Virgos are the masters of logistics and detail, so don’t be surprised if they suddenly catch you off guard with a “what would you do if...” questionnaire in the middle of brunch. "They love to be prepared no matter what," says Mesa and are super with it at all times. Also, as they are so rational and analytical, they can sometimes be critical of others, so be warned.

7. Libra

Unfortunately, Libra is pretty focused on appearances and has high expectations. "Libra has the habit of making their partner’s looks both a deal maker and/or breaker; therefore, picking the perfect trophy husband or wife is both a Libra habit and priority," says Mesa.

8. Scorpio

Partying too much is considered a bad habit, but so is getting jealous, and Scorpio is guilty of both, says Mesa. "Scorpio always wants to take a walk on the wild side and when they’re in a relationship, they want their lover right by their side when they go down the rabbit hole," says Mesa.

9. Sagittarius

Sagittarius has a lot of interesting habits but being in a relationship surely isn’t one of them. Here's why: Committing to just one thing can be quite the challenge for our friend Sag. "Some born under this sign will avoid relationships at all costs, unless they’re okay with the idea of cheating and you know what they say, old habits die hard," says Mesa. Of course this is extreme (not saying Sag will cheat, here), but make sure you're on the same page.

10. Capricorn

Workaholics at heart, Capricorns have the (bad) habit of bringing their work life into their relationships, says Mesa. "And if they have to choose between work and play, Capricorn doesn’t think twice. It’s always work first," she adds. This can be challenging for a Capricorn's SO, of course.

11. Aquarius

Aquarius is notorious for being detached or not being emotional enough, and in relationships, they can be exactly that. "Aquarius has the habit of getting lost in thought when stressed and being in their 'own world' is a once a week thing, says Mesa. Though with time, if you can lock the aquarius down, you'll have some fun.

12. Pisces

Communicating isn’t very Pisces like, and on the contrary, sometimes their communication can even come across as shady and ambiguous, says Mesa. "That’s why Pisces’ can be such good liars - it’s so easy for them, almost as if they believe their own lies," she adds. Yikes.

There you have it. Of course, these traits aren't set in stone, but if you notice any resemblance within your own life, just be more wary of how to regain control and try and improve the way you handle relationships.
