In The Bustle Booth With Lucy Hale

by Sara Tan

When celebrities hang out with Bustle editors, we want to give them the chance to leave their mark. Literally. So we hand them a pen, a piece of paper, a few questions, and ask them to get creative. The rest is up to them. This time, Lucy Hale is leaving her mark in the Bustle Booth.

Good news, lazy girls: It doesn't take much work to replicate Lucy Hale's beauty look. All you need is some facial oil, an eyebrow brush, a fun lip color, and you're good to go. It might sound questionable, but you'll just have to take her word for it.

When asked to describe her routine, the mark. by Avon ambassador was quick to call her look low-maintenance. "I'll wash my face, usually I'll mix some oil with tinted moisturizer so I look really glowy. A coat of mascara. Brows will always be done — that's my number one thing. And then usually a lip balm or a lip color," she tells me, sitting inside a suite at The Sunset Tower.

Of course, it wasn't always like this. The former Pretty Little Liars star says when she was younger, she cared way more about getting ready, waking up an hour and half before she needed to go anywhere. "Now, it's sort of just, less is better," Hale shares.

That's not to say she doesn't still love makeup. You'll find a bunch of beauty products in her purse right now, namely skin serums, face lotions, some Tweezers, and some good lip colors, like Vamp, a deep violet Avon True Color lipstick. "I like the plum, berry goth look."

Oh, and one more thing — if you do want to recreate Hale's beauty look, she's got one rule for you to remember. "Do whatever the hell you want," she says, with a smile.
