A spokesperson for Snapchat shared that with these new Context Cards, "snaps can transform from visual stories into launchpads for more information and actions." With this newest feature, your community will literally be at your fingertips, thanks to Snapchat at their partners.

Using the Context Cards, you could scroll up to see reviews on that restaurant, the hours it's open, and even what else is on the menu. Once you've decided to head over and get your grub on, you can even use the Context Card to tap your screen for a ride share, and go!

Locate The Context Cards

To see what Snaps have Context Cards, swipe up on the images or video that says "More" on the bottom. These will most likely be on the Snaps your friends send you that are complete with a venue-specific geofilter. You'll also be able to find the Context Cards on Snaps that have been submitted to a public "Our Story" product and those that appear in a Snap Map or Search. Simply swipe up and reveal everything you've ever wanted to know. It's like a crystal ball, but better. See your future and figure out how to get there as soon as possible.

Collect All The Information You Might Need

Once you've seen the pancakes, decided that that's all you really want in life at the moment, and swiped up to see "More" of the story, you'll be greeted with the actual Context Cards.

Don't be overwhelmed. The cards are organized in a way that avoids being bombarded with too much at once. The first thing that will put the snap into Context, is the basic information. You'll be able to immediately see what kind of place this is (restaurant, retail store, etc.), the business's address, phone number, hours of operation and rating. Depending on the type of venue, information and action steps may vary which could also include more Snaps from around that area. This is all within one app, so you can avoid running between ten apps at once and focus on preserving that precious battery life.
