How To Shop KKW Beauty Contour Kits Before They Break The Internet

by Amy Sciarretto

In minutes. That's how fast Kim Kardashian's KKW Beauty Creme Contour & Highlight Kits are expected to sell out. The $48 KKW Beauty kits, which feature a dual-ended sponge and brush applicator and two sticks with two colors and finishes designed for four skintones, arrive on the KKW Beauty site on Wednesday, Jun. 21 at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT. They kits should catch the eye of millennials, thanks to the soft and chic millennial pink packaging.

Women's Wear Daily reports that sources have indicated that the brand is unleashing 300,000 kits and that they are expected to sell out in a matter of minutes. Like less than five minutes, all the while potentially generating over 14 million in sales. Whoa, right?

The reality star's nude cream lipsticks, launched with her baby sister and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner, sold out quickly, as well. WWD reports that 300,000 of those sold out in minutes.

Given the fact that this is a debut, that stock isn't endless, that KKW has huge social media influence, and that fans and beauty mavens want to copy her signature, contoured look, where angles, dimension, and lines are created solely with product, it's going to be full on, Internet-breaking shopping mania tomorrow.

But I have key shopping advice for you.

Fans, both diehard and casual, are going to try and hit the site to see if they can snag the product once it lands. That means lots of competition among customers.

My signature shopping tip is one that I used successfully during the early days of Kylie Cosmetics, when all she sold was a handful of Lip Kits shades, which were nearly impossible to buy and sold out almost as soon as they went live.

If you are able to do so responsibly, take 10 minutes to yourself before the launch. Close out all other browsers and digital distractions. Open one browser to the KKW Beauty site. Have your credit card out of your wallet and at hand, so you can quickly enter information if unable to do so in advance.

Know which color kit your want to buy, since there are four skintones to choose from.

If you can take a break at work without any consequence, do it. Don't shirk your duties to shop; only put them aside if you can legally take a break, etc.

Once the site goes live, hit refresh, grab the product, throw it in your digital cart, and check out. Any dilly dallying could cause you to lose your place in line and leave you empty-handed.

The servers will likely be stressed from the Internet-breaking traffic, causing delays, getting kicked off, etc. But you can soldier on if you do everything I laid out above.

Or you can wait for the restock!

Good luck grabbing the first generation of KKW Beauty's Creme Contour & Highlight Kits.
