While Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Kendall Jenner went with gorgeous but totally impractical IRL ensembles for the 2017 Met Gala, several stars opted for wearable (and copyable) looks. Selena Gomez's 2017 Met Gala outfit was custom Coach, designed by the brand's creative director Stuart Vevers. Gomez's feminine dress was offset by her bright pink, almost punk rock pink eyeshadow, providing a cool and dramatic contrast to the softness and paleness of her gown and her pucker.

Gomez's Met Gala makeup is actually easy to replicate, especially her bright pink eyeshadow, because the products used to create the look were by Marc Jacobs Beauty. The brand is readily available at Sephora and department stores.

In an email Bustle received detailing Gomez's makeup, which was done by Hung Vanngo for Marc Jacobs Beauty, the MUA actually diverted from his original plan. Vanngo said, "I originally was going to do something very soft on Selena, and kept that idea in mind for the most part when deciding on her makeup look. The twist was the bright pink eyeliner I came across while sorting through colors. I thought it would be a fun punch of color, but still go with the overall makeup look."

Vanngo thought right because the pop o' color elevated the whole look and paired well with her shoulder-grazing bob, which I am here for.

Vanngo used Marc Jacobs Beauty Highlighter Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in (pop)ular 49, a hot pink shade, along the upper lashline, and onto the outer third of the eyelid, extending outward.

This liner was a key player in Gomez's look.

Vanngo used a brush to blend the liner into the preferred shape. He next applied the soft pink shades from the brand's Style Eye Con No 7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette, using Lover 220 as a wash of color across the entire eye and along the bottom lashes. He thickened and defined lashes with a coat of Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara on top and Beauty Feather Noir Ultra-Skinny Lash Discovering Mascara on the bottom.

The bright pink pop on the eyes was contrasted with a pale pink lip. Vanngo outlined Gomez's mouth with Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Nude(ist) 300. He finished with swipes of New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in In the Mood 152.

Gomez was wearing other MJB products, but it was all about those eyes and lips. Now, you can copy her Met Gala makeup style.

Since Gomez is the face of the brand, it made perfect sense for her to don a Coach creation to the fashion event of the year. Her blush, silk chiffon frock was inspired by 1930s lingerie and featured vintage lace paneling, according to an email Bustle received regarding Gomez's gown.

In a press release, Vevers said that he and Gomez were "inspired by the nostalgic glamour of the 1930s but wanted it to feel very 'today' and evoke a cool feminine ease that felt modern and personalized."
