If you haven't heard the news, Scott Disick supposedly has a new lady love and her name is Bella Thorne. I know, I can't believe it myself. Bustle reached out to reps for Disick and Thorne for comment, but has yet to receive a response. You may think this alleged new celeb couple is coming from left field, but it's actually not as random as it sounds. So just exactly how did Scott Disick and Bella Thorne meet? Believe it or not, but it appears they've known each other for some time now.
According to a source who spoke with People in May, 33-year-old Disick and 19-year-old Thorne have some of the same friends. Per the insider, the two "run in the same circles and have met before." Another source spoke with Entertainment Tonight and said about the reality star and Famous in Love actor's relationship, "They have known each other for a while now."
It's unclear exactly when or how they met, but there's a possibility that Kylie Jenner played a part. First of all, in December 2011 at a Popstar! Magazine party, Thorne posed for a photo with Kylie and Kendall Jenner. It seems from that moment on, Thorne and Jenner became fast friends — or at least good acquaintances.
In December 2012, the two were spotted having lunch together. Then, in April 2013, Jenner tweeted a photo of herself and Thorne. Next to the image, she wrote, "Love you!" They are clearly comfortable enough with one another to make a kissy face and to stick out a tongue for the image. You don't just do silly faces for any type of picture. It also seems like they have a lot of fun together.
Thorne is also a huge fan of Jenner's. While chatting with HuffPost Live in December 2015, the former Disney Channel star gushed, "I love Kylie, she's super sweet. Kylie and I don't really get to hang out all that much, we used to hang out more often when we were both a little bit younger. She's so sweet ... We have lots of mutual friends."
If that's not enough, during Vera Wang's 2016 New York Fashion Week show held in September 2015, Jenner and Thorne sat together and were all smiles. Yeah, they definitely know each other and have chilled quite a bit.
Now let's go back to that "mutual friends" comment made by Thorne. Could one of those people be Disick? Granted, he's more than a friend to Jenner, especially since he has three kids with her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, and they dated for nine years. Plus, Disick's been part of the Kardashian/Jenner family for like forever.
That said, there is a possibility that through her friendship with Jenner, Thorne met Disick. There have been multiple times that Jenner and Disick have hung out minus all of the other Kardashians/Jenners, so maybe during one of their outings, Thorne happened to be around and she met the man she is now rumored to be dating.
Really, at any point in time, they could have met and maybe not even through Jenner. Whenever that was, it sure seems like there is quite the romantic connection between them now. I can't help but wonder how Jenner feels about all of this.
Obviously, my assumption that Thorne and Disick met through Jenner is pure speculation, but if it is the case, then everyone can now blame the youngest Jenner for all of those photos of Thorne and Disick that nobody can deal with.
