Halo Top Is Opening A Real-Life Store & The Menu Sounds Amazing
If you're a Halo Top fanatic (aka, a human being), you've probably had dreams about a Halo Top ice cream parlor — because the only thing that could be better than having a freezer full of Halo Top ice cream cartons, would be having a neighborhood hang that serves the ice cream, with toppings. So when I heard that that the beloved ice cream company is actually opening up a real-life Halo Top store that also serves soft serve, know that I did a very serious happy dance at my desk. Go ahead, do your own happy dance now, too. The news is true: on Nov. 15, Halo Top Scoop Shop will open its doors to serve all of our old favorites, in addition to a few new soft serve flavors, to be served in cups, cones, and with however many colorful, candy or fruity toppings as you desire. The fact that this exists makes me very happy, indeed.
Here's the scoop (sorry, not sorry): the new soft serve flavors include chocolate, vanilla bean, strawberry, peanut butter cup, birthday cake, and pistachio. As for their OG flavors, vanilla bean, cinnamon roll, pancakes and waffles, chocolate chip cookie dough, red velvet, caramel macchiato and sea salt caramel will all be served. You can order your high-protein ice cream treat in a classic cup or cone, or you can opt for a special Halo Top puffle cone, because yes, they created their own special cone for the shop. And because Halo Top knows that no matter how good the ice cream tastes, we will want to cover it in toppings, they've got all the toppings. From marshmallow sauce, to coconut flakes, to mochi, and every sugar cereal in-between, they've got us covered to make single, double or triple sundaes. Drooling? Same, but also not done: the Halo Top Scoop Shop will also serve a selection of ice cream sandwiches made with vegan and high protein cookies, as well as Halo Top ice cream tacos, made with crisp waffle cones.
The chic and highly Instagram-worthy shop (that's white marble, with a golden halo hanging from the ceiling and a "Let's Spoon" neon sign, because Instagram) will be officially open on Nov. 15, offering complimentary ice cream to all customers, as a opening ceremony goodie. And going forward, the store will be open Mon to Sat 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sun from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., ensuring that yes, you can have ice cream for breakfast. And with a great excuse, because this low sugar high protein ice cream is likely better for you than a lot of other things you might be tempted to order at the bakery you get your coffee from.
If it sounds too good to be true, it might be. There's a catch: for now, the scoop shop will only be in Westfield Topanga, in Los Angeles, so if you live in that area, go ahead and pat yourself on the back for picking the right place to live. But if you're not local, know that I, as a New Yorker, am devastated and already experiencing deep pangs of FOMO.
That said, I'm not losing hope just yet, because while I can't officially confirm anything, an insider suggested that if the shop does well in Los Angeles, they might start popping up all over the place. So for us grumpy non-locals, let's try to keep it together and support the store from afar on the off-chance that we'll get our own local shop one day, as that's looking pretty, pretty likely. So happy spooning folks, let's cross our fingers that Halo Top Scoop Shops are well on their way to taking over the nations soft serve ice cream game.
