There are some characters from Bachelor In Paradise that you love, and there are some that you love to hate. In the latter category, I always put Daniel Maguire, aka Canadian Daniel from JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette. While entertaining, he was always so cocky and narcissistic. Take it down a notch, dude! Luckily, he may have settled down a bit with Lacey Mark, who appeared on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor. They’ve been entwined since their first date, and it looks like things are going well. Did Lacey and Daniel have sex on Bachelor In Paradise?
Lacey was super psyched to see Daniel appear in Paradise, and his date with her was basically a dream come true. However, since Daniel came to the game pretty late, I’m not sure how advanced their relationship actually became. Because of the truncated production schedule, the timeline for this season of Paradise is all off. Daniel and Lacey spent plenty of time smooching, but not that much time as a whole getting to know each other. Is this a viable relationship? All in all, Daniel and Lacey probably spent, I don’t know, a week together? Maybe a little more? Of course, they're still entitled to be intimate after that period of time (or any period as long as they consent).
Before the Fantasy Suite card was whipped out, Lacey told Daniel, "I am falling for you, and it's terrifying. It scares me a little bit." Daniel replied, "That makes me feel quite good. As the days have gone by, I'm starting to fall for you. Didn’t expect it but it’s happening." When asked if he wanted to leave in a committed relationship, Daniel told Lacey, "I don’t want you going back to New York this week and dating anyone. We definitely should be in a relationship." They opted to stay in the the Fantasy Suite and do whatever they did (I'm not going to speculate on sex because it's not really my business).
This is all well and good — I'm all for falling in love if that's your bag, but this couldn't have lasted very long. Daniel appeared with Vinny Ventiera on the all-new season of The Millionaire Matchmaker, during which Patti Stanger ripped them both to shreds and fed the scraps to hungry dogs in Hollywood. That episode aired as Bachelor In Paradise was airing, and even though I’m not sure when it was filmed, it seems like Daniel is assuredly single post-Paradise.
Whether sex happened or not between Daniel and Lacey in the Fantasy Suite, the relationship likely didn't last much longer after that. These two are probably donezo, and it's all different post-Paradise.
