Raise your hand if you wish your Halloween costume could be anywhere near as creative and perfect as when stars celebrate the holiday. Yeah, same. Well, get ready to be even more jealous, because Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, & Luna's Halloween costume is so freaking epic you won't know what to do with yourself. The adorable family were inspired by the 1947 film Copacabana, starring Carmen Miranda and Groucho Marx, as revealed by Legend on Instagram.
Teigen went as Miranda, Legend went as Marx, and Luna, obviously, went as a the cutest pineapple you have ever seen. Unlike many celebs (and herself last year), Teigen didn't share any costume posts on the weekend before Halloween. But, the model did share their family costume on Snapchat on actual Halloween, and thank goodness she did, because everyone should be allowed to experience its greatness.
In one snap, they even danced as a family to "Chica Chica Boom Chic," from 1941's That Night in Rio, which also stars Miranda. (For comparison, you can watch Miranda sing it here.) In another video, Legend channeled his inner Marx, so much so that he wiggled his eyebrows in the same way the comedian was known for.
They went above and beyond to ensure this year's Halloween costumes were spot-on. And can you imagine what they'll dress up as next year? Clearly, a lot of thought, time, and energy went into these costumes, so the same will probably be done come Halloween 2018.
With that, let's check out these unbelievable costumes.

Surprisingly, in October 2015, the Cravings cookbook author told Sports Illustrated that she doesn't care that much for Halloween. "Halloween, for me, is just one of those holidays, where there's so much hype," she admitted. "I spend hours in hair and makeup, I force my husband into doing something ridiculous with me, and then we go out for like 20 minutes and I'm over it." Despite feeling like that, she still dresses up and manages to have elaborate costumes, including that time she and Legend went as Cleopatra and a gladiator.
Heck, they even dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach and for Teigen's 28th birthday party. But, as Teigen also told Sports Illustrated, "I like to have fun on every other day, why do I need Halloween to dress up? I don't." But, then, she quickly added, "But I do."
Really, it sounds like she likes the idea of dressing up, but doesn't like the Halloween party part as much. But since she and Legend are parents to one-year-old Luna, it seems like Teigen is totally going to embrace Halloween even more than she has done in the past. In 2016, Luna tried on eight different costumes (FYI, they ended up donating all of them to families in need), which just goes to show you that she's pretty serious about the holiday now. No one would put eight costumes on their child if they weren't somewhat excited about Halloween.
While chatting with Good Morning America in November 2016, Legend opened up about all of Luna's costumes. "Chrissy on Twitter said something about she didn’t know what Halloween costume Luna was going to wear, so all these companies started sending us all these costumes," the singer explained. "We were just doing a fashion show at the house and were taking photos of everything. I think Luna was probably not having as much fun as we were. She had some moments where she was like, 'I’m over this.' But she couldn’t say it, so we just kept going."
See? They both loved every minute of it. Now that Halloween has come and gone, Teigen and Legend can start planning for next year. The options for family costumes are endless, so there's no doubt they will once again think of something amazing for themselves and Luna.
