You know what made its debut at the 2017 Met Gala? The forthcoming Chrissy Teigen x BECCA Glow Face Palette, which is a super anticipated collab between the model and the brand and could eclipse last year's epic Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow collection. Teigen's makeup artist Mary Phillips used the Chrissy Teigen x BECCA Glow Face Palette, which has four pans of blush and highlighter face products, to create a soft glow and radiant flush. Yes, it was gorgeous.
Seeing the Teigen x BECCA palette IRL and at a major event such as the Met Gala will make you want to own it and use even more than you already do.
In an email Bustle received regarding Teigen's look, Phillips stated that it was "all about a warm palette, applied in very diffused ways — the variation of finishes and placement created a softened depth."
Teigen wore her long, highlighted hair slicked back off her face for additional balance. Phillips furthered, "I'm very into balance, and also a certain version of freshness to makeup, and that version is different each time for different people. When we realized what she was wearing, I wanted there to be effortlessness to the makeup and illuminated it in the best way possible."
She prepped Teigen's skin with BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme and Concealer, which allows skin to breathe while creating a perfect base.
You need to try Phillips' technique of applying the products — with a brush, the ring finger, and beautyblender— to keep the base looking real and anything but mask-like!
After skin was set, Phillips went to work with the Glow Face Palette. "The way these shades synchronize and harmonize together is so real looking and so elegant," the talented MUA said, which only makes us covet this palette even more. Ack! The palette is coming this month, so, we need to make like Guns N' Roses and exercise a little patience.
Here is how Phillips used the palette on its creator. She started with the Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter in Rose Gold and Beach Nectar, and then opted for Sunlit Bronzer in Malibu Soleil.
"I very faintly applied for an all-over glow, and then more concentrated under the brow bone," Phillips explained. "I swiped along her cheeks by the temple and top of the cheekbone. Then, I very sparingly dusted some more along the side. Sometimes your highlight needs some depth too!"
Gorg glow! Now you know how you can use and play with the Teigen x BECCA Glow Face Palette when it drops.
