While he's known for teasing the most "shocking" and "dramatic" Bachelor Nation reveals, Chris Harrison's latest tweet might actually be the first to truly surprise you. Weaving together politics and the ABC franchise, Harrison made a Hillary Clinton joke that will make you cringe immediately. Scratch that, it'll infuriate you. (Bustle has reached out to Harrison for comment, but did not receive an immediate response. ABC declined to comment.)

On Thursday afternoon, the TV host tweeted, "I'm loving cranky unhinged unfiltered @HillaryClinton She and #Trump will both be invited to #BIP next summer Most dramatic ever!" First of all, why directly tag Clinton, but hashtag Donald Trump's name? That in itself is a bizarre choice, which singles her out. But more importantly, Harrison's slew of adjectives are not OK — and Bachelor fans were quick to check him on Twitter. As one fan wrote, "Pssst, Chris, your misogyny is showing."

While Harrison seems to be praising Clinton's boldness (although, I'd argue that's nothing new — she's always a been fearless political figure), he chose undeniably offensive, and arguably gendered, adjectives. In attempting to compliment her, he insulted Clinton in the process. Throughout her political career, the former Secretary of State has been called every name under the sun — simply for existing. For instance, Clinton has been deemed cold or calculating on more than one occasion. As she admitted in a 2016 Humans of New York interview,

"I know that I can be perceived as aloof or cold or unemotional. But I had to learn as a young woman to control my emotions. And that’s a hard path to walk. Because you need to protect yourself, you need to keep steady, but at the same time you don’t want to seem ‘walled off.'"

Just because she's speaking out and defending herself as of late, that doesn't make her "unhinged" or "cranky"; it makes her a human being. Plus, why shouldn't she defend herself? Especially against Trump, a man who's called her "crooked" and hurled plenty of other insults her way.

In this particular case, Harrison probably was referencing Clinton's recent tweet to President Trump, where she shot back after he mocked her book. Instead of taking Trump's criticism to heart, Clinton suggested he check out her other book, It Take A Village, since it focuses on working together. Or maybe Harrison was just speaking more generally about Clinton's newly released book, What Happened, which, as the title suggests, shares her side of what went down during the 2016 Election.

Regardless of whatever Harrison meant, most fans were not. here. for. it. They were fast to point out why the joke didn't quite land the way the ABC star might have intended.

Calling It Like It Is

Since Harrison only name-called Clinton, you could argue the joke had a sexist undertone.

Explaining Why It's So Disappointing

Women often get called "bossy" or "b*tchy," simply for asserting themselves in ways that men can without anyone batting an eye. And, as this tweet points out, all Clinton did was speak her mind. That's not "unhinged" by anyone's definition.

And Throwing In Another Perfect GIF

No, just no. Nothing about this joke works.

While that step isn't actually necessary, this Twitter user makes an A+ reference to a common internet saying that Clinton once used. Last June, she sent the mic drop of all tweets to Trump after he insulted her and former President Barack Obama.

Considering Clinton isn't holding anything back on Twitter these days — and no, that doesn't make her cranky or unhinged — it actually would be pretty great if she took a minute to respond to Harrison's failure of a joke. But then again, she's probably too busy promoting her new book.
