On Thursday, June 8, former FBI Director James Comey is testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee in Washington D.C. about his interactions with President Trump regarding the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election. As you can imagine, social media is blowing up with all kinds of responses, but there is one person you need to follow. Chris Evans' tweets about Comey's testimony are extremely relatable.

Yes, there are a bunch of celebrities tweeting, including singer Lorde, Parks and Recreation's Retta, and comedian Billy Eichner. However, there is something truly special about Evans' reactions. First of all, he is a truly beloved celebrity. I mean, who doesn't want to date him? Furthermore, his investment in politics is to be admired. He pays attention, speaks his mind, refuses to be silenced, and really wants the country to be great. Yes, he really is Captain America.

As irritating as it may be to some to listen to a celebrity talk politics, Evans does it in a way that's refreshing — and relatable. It would have been a total letdown if the Marvel star wasn't live-tweeting Comey's testimony, but thankfully that didn't happen. And with that, here are his tweets that are being liked and retweeted left and right.

It Is History In The Making

It truly is a historic day — and one that is overtaking the internet.

Possibly The Best Quote Ever

The former FBI director said Thursday that he saw Trump's tweet from May after the president fired Comey, which read, "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!" To that, Comey responded at his testimony, "Lordy, I hope there are tapes."

I think many of us can agree with Evans that would make one fantastic T-shirt.

The One & Only Time Trump Should Tweet

Let's face it, when Trump takes to Twitter, well it can be unbearable. However, now more than ever is when people actually want Trump to be tweeting. His response to what Comey is saying is something many want and need to hear.

Seriously, Trump, Tweet

If Evans can't make it happen, maybe Charles Xavier can with his mind control capabilities.

Evans, keep up the good work.
