Cheesecake Factory Has Outdone Itself This Time

by Kaitlyn Wylde

In honor of a very important national holiday, National Cheesecake Day, The Cheesecake Factory is debuting a new flavor of cheesecake to get celebration going. Appropriately titled for the occasion, the Celebration Cheesecake looks like a party on a plate, super nostalgic of the cakes we made as kids. The cake is decorated with color bursts and a thick icing to look a whole lot like the kinds of Funfetti cakes we'd all make for our birthdays growing up.

National Cheesecake Day falls on Jul. 30, so for Jul. 30 and Jul. 31, the restaurant is offering any slice of cheesecake for half price, and of course, this brand new cake will make its debut. It's not hard to understand why the company is excited about the national holiday. I mean, when it comes to cheesecake, they're industry leaders — cheesecake is kind of their thing. And if it's not yet your thing, a half priced slice is a good excuse to give it a try. I mean, amirite?

The celebration cake is made with a super moist vanilla cake, separated by strawberry, chocolate and vanilla mousse, topped with a classic cream cheese frosting and finished with brightly colored confetti — because hello, it's a party. What's a party cake without bright colored sugary things?

The Cheesecake Factory

The Celebration Cheesecake will be available beginning Sunday, Jul. 30 — and what's more, for every slice sold through August, The Cheesecake Factory will donate 25 cents to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization. A company that, since 2008, The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $4.2 million to through the sale of its specially designated cheesecake. So if you needed an excuse to eat more cake, here it is: charity!

Sounds like a win/win to me. I mean, helping people while stuffing your face with dessert sounds like the ultimate dream. You might even want to consider ordering a whole cake for the cause. I know if my co-worker surprised me in the office with a cheesecake on National Cheesecake Day, I'd be super stoked. And to find out a portion of the proceeds went to a great charity, too? Beyond.

So mark your calendar for the national holiday and get yourself over to the nearest Cheesecake Factory, and do not forget to leave room for dessert. A lot of it. Heck, maybe start with dessert just to be sure there's enough room in your belly for you to try a few flavors in addition to the new one. Yes, that's a good idea. And you're welcome.
