Wednesday brought some pretty sad news for Hollywood. Mary Tyler Moore has died, her publicist confirmed in a statement to Bustle. The star was 80 when she passed away, and led a long life in the film and TV industry. So, it's no surprise that celebrity reactions to Mary Tyler Moore's death came fast when the news was first announced. She touched a lot of lives during her lifetime, after all.
Mara Buxbaum, a rep for the actor, released a touching statement to Bustle following Moore's death, which you can read below.
"Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine. A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile."
According to the New York Daily News, Moore wasn't in good health these last few days and was reportedly hospitalized. She struggled throughout her life with several health problems, including diabetes. Over her career, Moore touched the lives of fans and fellow stars alike, many of whom paid tribute following her passing.
