This Collaboration Is The DIY Line Of Your Dreams
Whenever I go back home for a weekend, my local Target is a must stop to pick up everything I've missed and anything that looks fun — I just love walking through the aisles. Recently, a location opened in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood, giving me the feeling of a home away from home. And on March 12, Target introduced a collaboration with Brit + Co, another feel-good company. The media site works towards bringing out the creative spirit in women through articles, classes, and videos, along with other experiences.
While it's in the business of creating content, Brit + Co took things a step further and created a line of 10 activity kits, exclusively available at Target. The website is already familiar with bringing DIY ideas to its readers and this collaboration gives them the opportunity to put idea into action. You can find kits that cover activities like knitting a scarf, creating a woven wall hanging, and making clay jewelry dishes — and each kit comes with the supplies you need to complete the project.
"Since all of our content is focused around igniting creativity, we know a lot about which DIY trends people are currently loving," Brit + Co founder Brit Morin told Target. "One big trend right now with young women is the ability to personalize fashion and home decor products, specifically with custom colors, designs, or phrases. Our Brit + Co kits let you do just that! Burn your name in wood with our Wood Burned Cutting Board Kit, weave a unique colorful bracelet with our Embroidered Leather Cuff Kit, or create your own custom greeting cards with our Calligraphy Kit."

To further ensure success, Brit + Co used data from its content library filled with over 100,000 tutorials and millions of Pinterest re-pins to create the products. If the consumer wants to learn more, they can, with the free class voucher which comes with each purchase.
If you've always wanted to become the creative type but didn't know where to start, here's your chance. The kits, which range from $19.99 to $24.99, are available in nearly all Target stores and on Target.com.
Be careful, though. Once you enter Target you never know what you're going to leave with.
