After weeks of waiting, it appears as though the names of Beyoncé and JAY-Z's twins have finally been revealed. According to TMZ, the Carter twins are reportedly named Rumi and Sir. Bustle reached out to Beyoncé and JAY-Z's reps for comment, but did not receive an immediate response. However, the timing of the apparent announcement couldn't be better, since TMZ's news comes on the same day as JAY-Z's 4:44 album release, which also includes a reference to the twins in its lyrics (not their names, though).
As for their source, TMZ claims that the same company that houses JAY-Z and Beyoncé's trademarks reportedly filed legal documents for the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter. According to E! News, this trademark will reportedly be used for merchandise, including baby teething rings and strollers. While this may sound concrete, it's worth remembering that this isn't the first set of names to circulate surrounding the newborn babies. Just last week, there were rumors that the twins were named Shawn and Bea, which would've been a clear reference to the parents' own names.
As of now, it's unclear why exactly the couple chose the names Rumi and Sir, if they did indeed choose those monikers. But hopefully the rumors are settled once and for all ASAP — with either an epic Instagram post from Bey or a stream of tweets from Jay.
