Here's a moment that Avengers fans have been waiting for: After what feels like years of romantic tension, Vision and Scarlet Witch may finally have their moment. New photos from set surfaced on E! News and these Avengers: Infinity War set photos suggest that things are heating up for Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s characters. Although the new film is not scheduled for release until May 2018, a few recent snapshots taken during filming gives fans a glimpse into the pair's now inevitable on-screen hookup, as the two finally lock lips during a scene for the highly anticipated flick.
It definitely makes total sense that these two decided to join forces in love. I mean, it was only a matter of time, right? It's obviously no secret that the chemistry between Vision and Scarlett (aka Wanda) has been bubbling ever since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The photos were captured while filming in Edinburgh, Scotland on April 19, while the duo reportedly attempted to shoot the scene around "eight or nine times," according to E! News. During the many takes, Vision was said to have opened the curtains of a nearby window using his superhero powers, when Scarlet Witch magically appears and the two share in an intimate kiss.
If you're a true super-fan, then you already know that Vision and Wanda actually do fall in love and get married in the comic books, although it's not immediately clear whether the movie will take that same direction just yet. Their relationship in the comic books was more than a little complicated.
However, fans of the Avengers movies did have a bit of an inkling that a romance was on the horizon after watching 2016's Captain America: Civil War, as the pair seemed to begin warming up to one another despite their obvious human vs. android differences.
And this, of course, is obvious hindsight, but it appears that the filmmakers were totally laying the groundwork for their budding big screen romance all along. So just consider this the confirmation that we were all looking for and know that this is really happening, you guys.
