Audrina Patridge Is Divorcing Her Husband & Has Filed A Restraining Order — REPORT
After welcoming a daughter in June 2016 and getting married last November, according to TMZ, Audrina Patridge has reportedly filed to divorce Corey Bohan after reportedly filing for a temporary restraining order against him on Monday. TMZ reports Patridge filed for divorce on Wednesday and that the temporary restraining order request appears to be due to alleged domestic violence. Bustle has reached out to Patridge's rep, but did not yet receive a response; Bohan could not be reached at the time of publication. Bustle also reached out to the Superior Court of Orange County, but did not receive an immediate response. Patridge's rep told People, “Audrina’s number one concern is for her daughter and she asks for privacy at this time."
The story is still developing, so no details of their split (or the circumstances behind the reported restraining order) have emerged yet. So far, both Bohan and Patridge remain silent on social media and haven't spoken about the situation themselves.
As recently as late last month, Bohan made appearances on Patridge's Instagram and Twitter — including photos at Huntington Beach's Pasea Hotel. After dating on and off since 2008, the couple tied the knot in Hawaii in 2016, and they have a daughter together named Kirra Max, who turned one in June.
TMZ that reports that court documents they obtained state that Patridge is allegedly intimidated by the way Bohan has treated her lately. Allegedly, when she arrived home on September 6, Bohan allegedly started harassing her and followed her and daughter Kirra upstairs, where he allegedly told her to “grow some balls and pull the trigger and file for divorce.” TMZ reports that he also allegedly told her that she was “f*cked up” because of her childhood experiences.
At that point, Patridge reportedly called police, and nine days later, on September 15, she reportedly claims she received a visit from child protective services. (The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services does not comment or confirm any possible cases or involvement with clients due to confidentiality laws.) In the documents, Patridge also reportedly described another alleged event from over the weekend and claimed that Bohan followed her on stage at a beauty event, demanding to see their daughter. TMZ adds that the restraining order she filed for on September 18 has since been granted.
Sources claiming to be close to the couple have come forward to share their insight. One source claimed to People that this split has been a long time coming, and that issues they faced while dating have only followed them into their short-lived marriage. The source alleged:
“These problems have existed their entire relationship. They broke up and got back together, and she really thought things would be different when they got married, but she’s realized things had to change before it got even worse, and she had to get her and her daughter out of the situation.”
Sources also spoken to Us Weekly and claimed their marriage is “tumultuous." The sources also claimed that although the couple wanted to make their relationship work for the sake of Kirra, their efforts ultimately failed.
“Corey is denying everything,” one source claimed to the magazine. “They are not living together right now. Audrina and Corey were at court yesterday.”
A separate source claimed, “Audrina is an incredible mother and a loving person and it’s unfortunate it’s come to this. They just come from different family cultures with different ways of seeing things.”
E! news reports that a hearing between Bohan and Patridge has been scheduled for October, per court records.
