The Leather Rihanna Puma Creepers Are Selling Fast

by Amy Sciarretto

The first Creeper drop of 2017 has arrived and the sneakers aren't suede this time out. The leather Rihanna Puma Creepers, which come in smooth, white leather with black detailing, and in black, cracked patent leather, officially dropped at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT on the Puma site. Given the new fabric, it's a huge textural change for this chunky-soled and mega popular platform, leading to increased anticipation and a retail frenzy. These cool kicks are always met with serious shopping mania and often sell out within the hour. They don't usually restock, at least not right away. Now that the leather Rihanna x Puma Fenty Creepers have landed, are they sold out?

As of press time, these sneakers are not yet sold out.

But I fully expect their status to shift to "unavailable" sooner than later. Surprisingly, when I logged onto to the Puma site upon launch, it didn't crash and my user experience wasn't sluggish, despite an increased volume of Creeper-seeking customers hopping online and attempting to shop.

Bustle reached out to Puma to inquire about whether or not a restock of the leather Creepers is planned or if this is a "one and done" drop. Puma reps responded, "As of now – it will just be this one drop today." They will let us know if they are restocked following other SS17 drops.

The Rihanna Puma Creepers have come in several colors and textures, from all-black to black with an oatmeal sole to green to burnt orange camo to pink to suede to velvet. The smooth leather and cracked patent leather editions are just as coveted as the OG drops.

The smooth leather pair is white with a black stripe and a black heel detail. The branding is golden and good.

The glossy, all-black pair has silver detailing. The mirror-like shine certainly makes these sneakers a bit more upscale.

The Creeper remains a dope AF shoe, beloved by fashion types and sneaker pimps.

These soles have so much soul and they give lift to the wearer and life to their wardrobe.
