Drake & Jennifer Lopez Could Be Dating

I am not ashamed to admit that Drake's romantic life is of far more interest to me than it probably should be, and now, there's a brand new set of rumors to tackle. As much as I adored him and Rihanna together, it seems like that relationship is over, and he's moving on to someone new... potentially a pop legend almost 20 years his senior. In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, a very suspicious Instagram photo appeared on the "One Dance" singer's account, and it has me wondering what I never thought I'd wonder in my life: Are Drake and Jennifer Lopez dating? Yes, that's a legit question people are asking themselves right now. Bustle has reached out to their reps, but has not yet received a response.

It all started when Drake shared a photo of him and Lopez getting awfully cozy on a couch together. He's got her in a bear hug, and they both look pretty happy together — although who wouldn't be happy hugging Drake? Worst of all, the photo is completely captionless, which leaves a lot up to the imagination. Is he trying to spill the beans about a budding relationship, or is he trying to make his followers crazy? Honestly, if it's the second thing, it's working.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer to their relationship status (or lack thereof) so far, but there are clues that could lead to the truth. For example? As Billboard pointed out, Rihanna unfollowed Lopez over the weekend, which could be really telling. I mean, who wants to see what their ex's new girlfriend is up to? Of course, there could be a million reasons for her unfollow, but that could be one of them.

And then there's the fact that this is not the first time Drake and Lopez have been spotted together lately. Lopez made an appearance on Drake's Instagram just two weeks ago when he attended two of her Las Vegas All I Have shows, which was the initial source of these rumors.

There's also evidence to the contrary. If you, unlike Rihanna, follow Lopez, you probably noticed that she also shared the same photo of her and Drake together, too — also with no caption. Last month, he shared a photo with Taylor Swift that sparked dating rumors too, but it seems like that all turned out to be false. It's far more likely that Swift and Drake were together to collaborate, so maybe that's also what's happening with him and Lopez?

At this point, Drake and Lopez spending so much time together could literally be for any reason, so if you're confused, don't worry — you're not alone. Normally, I'd assume they're friends or collaborating, but this is 2016, the year when nothing makes sense. They could be dating, but based on just what we know right now, it's impossible to know for sure.

What we really need is some type of confirmation that they're together — another Instagram post, perhaps? Your move, Drake. I'm waiting.
