My sweet prince Dean Unglert unfortunately didn’t find love on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette, but he is try try again-ing on the new season of Bachelor In Paradise. My favorite Deanie Baby is a member of Bachelor In Paradise 4, and he and Nick Viall cast-off Kristina Schulman clicked like immediately during filming. But are Dean and Kristina still dating after Bachelor In Paradise?
On Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette, Dean proved himself to be smart, funny, adorable, and afraid of heights (I think everyone is on this show, though), and he also showed a truly vulnerable side in regards to his complicated family life. Dean admitted to Rachel that things weren’t the same after his mother died (Dean was about 15 at the time), and he claimed he could never get the emotional fulfillment he needed from his father. A disastrous hometown date ensued, and Rachel later dumped Dean.
Kristina, who appeared on Nick’s season of The Bachelor, stayed in the middle of the pack for most of her season — she was not involved in the drama of Corinne and Taylor and everyone else — and she touched Nick’s heart with stories of her tough childhood living at an orphanage in Russia. She was adopted and now “lives in color,” as she puts it, and even though her relationship with Nick didn’t work out, Kristina is also a gem.
It makes sense, then, that these two delightful little muffins could get along and maybe fall in love. We have yet to see what Bachelor In Paradise hath wrought, but let’s break it down — Dean and Kristina are both attractive, funny, and fun-loving, and they’re roughly the same age. But if you want to get deeper than that, I really think the two of them could bond over their rough childhoods and emotional issues. The sexy stuff is what you’re interested at first, but the tough stuff is what you bond over and what makes a relationship stick.

And Kristina sent a Dean-centric tweeted back in June when Rachel’s season was first airing (and the guys were mocking Dean for being "too young" for Rachel):
So what does it all mean? Truthfully, I’m not sure. I think it’s a good sign that they’re tweeting and talking about each other. Dean and Kristina can’t spoil the season, but the fact that they seem chummy bodes well that these two are still together, or that they’re at least good friends after a split. I think they’re perfect together, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds on Bachelor In Paradise.
