Amal & George Clooney's Twins Have Arrived

The wait is over. On Tuesday, Amal and George Clooney welcomed their twins, according to AP. The international human rights lawyer and the actor named their daughter Ella and their son Alexander, according to a statement from their publicist.

The highly anticipated pregnancy was announced on Feb. 9 by Julie Chen of The Talk. During the broadcast, the talk show host said, "Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins. Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!" Only a week before, Feb. 1, Beyoncé had posted her epic baby announcement on Instagram confirming that she was also pregnant with twins.

However, the ultra private couple stayed mum on the subject for a couple weeks longer until George spoke out about how excited he was. He told People, "We are really happy and really excited. It's going to be an adventure. We've sort of embraced it all... with arms wide open."

Although OG fans of Clooney once knew him to be one of Hollywood's most notorious bachelors, the 56-year-old stunned the world by finally settling down and marrying the accomplished lawyer in September 2014. Despite being a world-renowned celebrity, Clooney told BBC radio's Jenni Murray in 2015 he was more proud to be known as Amal's husband:

"She’s someone I enjoy spending every minute of the day with, and I’m very proud to be around. And watching the things she does I admire so greatly. I’ve always been involved in things other than this business, long before I was successful at it. She’s been doing it quietly and unheralded for a long period of time, and I’m very proud to be married to her."

Now that the twins have arrived, the Clooney fam is officially complete. Congrats!
