If you thought Jan. 20 was the worst day ever, prepare to lift your spirits a bit. According to the brand's Instagram account, an Alexis Ren x ColourPop collaboration is happening, and it's supposedly happening soon! While we don't know any real details as of yet, fans of the makeup brand and Instagram star are taking to social media to express their excitement.
If you're not familiar with the name Alexis Ren, I assure you you're at least familiar with her face, especially if you have an Instagram account or a Pinterest board. Ren is a 20-year-old Instagram star and model that has garnered over 7.7 million followers on her social media account. While she's modeled for many different brands, from Calvin Klein to L'Oreal, what she's most famous for are her beachy, sun-kissed swimsuit photos. In fact, it was a bikini photoshoot she modeled in at the age of 15 that put her on the map after going viral on Tumblr.
Since then, Ren has traveled around the world and transformed into a huge celebrity, most recently starring in Chainsmokers' latest music video for "Paris." It makes sense then that ColourPop tapped her to become the star of its next collaboration. However, it seems we'll have to wait a bit to find out what will actually be in the collection.
If I had to take a guess based on the campaign photo Ren and ColourPop shared, I would say fans can expect a red lipstick and some serious highlighters. While Ren is not known for wearing a ton of makeup day to day, she does have an enviable bronzed glow that if bottled up and sold, would sell out like hotcakes.
Fans of Ren and ColourPop are beyond excited.

Ren also took to her Twitter account to thank her fans for their support.
Some people are questioning the collaboration, since Ren isn't known for her makeup. She was quick to reply to those skeptics, however and defended herself.
I, for one, can't wait to see what Alexis Ren x ColourPop has in store for us! Praying for that shoulder highlight, though — fingers crossed!
