Well, this pretty much makes things official. While serving as a guest co-host on The View Friday, Alex Rodriguez opened up about Jennifer Lopez. Unlike what many celebrities would've done, he did not remain tight-lipped and surprisingly discussed her quite a bit. So much so that you can tell he is extremely happy with J. Lo and thinks the world of her. "It's obvious," he said about his relationship with Lopez. "We've been having a great time."
To be clear, he never referred to the Shades of Blue star as his "girlfriend" or said they are indeed a "couple," but does he really need to say any of that? Based on his responses, it's clear that they are dating. He was all smiles while discussing her, which just goes to show you how smitten he is. I mean, who wouldn't be? Lopez is perfection.
Whether or not you're on board the Lopez and Rodriguez dating train, it's hard to not to be when the former New York Yankees player praises her in such sweet ways. "We're having a great time," he said again. "She's an amazing, amazing girl. One of the smartest human beings I've ever met and also an incredible mother." No wonder the singer has been spending a lot of time with him.
It appears they have both opened up to each other quite a bit. As he said, "She just likes simple things. I mean, she's a very, very simple person. Loves family. Is a great sister. Is a great daughter." He can keep those compliments coming. The athlete also dished about some of her "guilty pleasures" and confessed that she loves to indulge in "chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate chip cookies." Same, J. Lo. Same.

Dating rumors surrounding these two began circulating in early March and they were fueled even more when the pair was spotted in the Bahamas together. Until Rodriguez's View appearance, neither of them had commented on their status. Thank you, Rodriguez, for your candidness.
So what should their 'shipper name be? The View's Joy Behar had a suggestion. She asked Rodriguez, "So you and J. Lo are an item, so do they call you J. Rod now?" and he laughed. One of the other co-hosts, Sara Haines, suggested "A. Lo." Who knows which one will become the "official" name.
With that, let's all rejoice that Rodriguez was so willing to answer questions about Lopez. It's always frustrating when celebs are seen with someone, but choose to stay mum — especially if they share and then delete a photo on social media.
