Adele's Grammy Performance Dress Was So... Adele!

Adele has been very vocal about the fact that she has no desire to be a pop star nor does she wish to look or dress the part. Given her spectacularly room-filling voice, she doesn't need to rely on crazy clothes or celeb shenanigans to stand out. Adele's 2017 Grammy's performance outfit was typically Adele; that is, it was classic, black, and flattered her killer curves, with a colorful twist.

Adele opened the show with her smash hit "Hello" and while she opted for an olive green and detailed gown on the red carpet, her performance outfit was her beloved black! The floor-sweeping skirt was pleated, while the top was red, purple, and sparkly and mimicked stained glass.

Adele didn't step outside of her comfort zone but she doesn't need to, since long, black frocks work for her. She never resorts to outrageous outfits when she performs. Instead, her attire tends to be chic and sophisticated and never competes with her voice; that would be a losing battle, of course.

At the 2017 Grammys, Adele was once again a consummate performer, not a performance artist relying on any sort of gimmick to grab attention.

This English beauty often opts for black because it pairs beautifully with her peaches and cream complexion and light hair.

On this night, Adele was every inch the classically-dressed lady we expected her to be.

Her thick locks were a little longer than shoulder-grazing and her makeup was her signature: dramatic eyes, a glossed lip, and a flushed cheek. She had that golden glow.

The entire presentation was gorgeous. Because of course it was.
