Fall dressing comes with a significant amount of relief around the Coveteur office. Honestly, after so many months of enduring the stifling subway platforms and debating whether or not to wear denim cut-offs in the office, we’re welcoming cooler temperatures with open arms and empty closets. Well, maybe not *completely* empty, but there is plenty of space just waiting to be filled with the impending season’s coats, boots, and the coziest knitwear we can find.

Now with the rise of the capsule wardrobe, there’s never been a better time to take a hard look at your online shopping cart and consider what items will transcend seasonal trends and which will be donated after you ultimately wear them just once or twice. So, the challenge for this fall is to finally invest in those pieces that you’ll will love year after year, despite the changing tides of fashion. Once you begin to follow that guideline, you’ll quickly find that your entire wardrobe is both stylish and functional, AND you’re wasting less money in the long run (yay!). Here are the ten essential styles that are worth investing in this fall.

There is nothing quite as timeless or versatile as a simple leather bag. It’s the first building block of a truly stellar wardrobe, and something we see in every closet we’ve explored.
