There’s No Slowing Down Chelsie Hill

The founder of wheelchair dance team, The Rollettes, is just getting started.

Some people learn to walk after they crawl. Chelsie Hill went straight to dancing.

But in 2010, a car accident left her paralyzed from the waist down and doctors told her she’d never be able to walk again. The news changed her life — and her identity as a dancer — forever.

After the accident, Hill was determined to regain a sense of normalcy and help others who were in her shoes.

Fueled by her new mission, Hill turned to social media to connect with other teens in similar situations. The connections she built helped her realize that her dancing dreams weren’t over — they were just evolving.

“I can’t not dance. It’s what keeps me alive and gives me purpose.”
