Here’s a quick guide to experiencing the city like a true New Yorker.

The Bronx

If you’re looking to immerse yourself in New York City history and culture, a trip to the Bronx is a must. See where hip-hop was born and Babe Ruth became a baseball legend. Don’t forget to check out the Bronx’s very own Little Italy, and the beautiful New York Botanical Garden.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is the most populous of the five boroughs, and its lively selection of businesses is proof. From Coney Island to the Brooklyn Museum, there’s lots of fun to be had here. Make sure to check out the Cyclone, Domino Park, Elsewhere, Governors Island, and Oslo Coffee.

Manhattan

Manhattan is home to some of the most exciting things New York City has to offer, and most of them are a yellow cab or subway ride away. Stop by Apotheke, Fotografiska Museum, Halal food carts, Inwood, Julius’, K-Town, Manhattanhenge, Pebble Bar, the Roosevelt Island Tram, Veselka, Washington Square Park, Madame X, and Zabar’s.

Queens

Variety is the name of the game in Queens. With lots of incredible food options, stunning art, and gorgeous beaches, the borough is an excellent place to explore. Make sure to add Queens Night Market, the TWA Hotel at JFK International Airport, and the Unisphere to your list.

Staten Island

The southernmost borough is full of surprises. From historic attractions to beaches with breathtaking views, it’s all just a ferry ride away. May we suggest Enoteca Maria?
