Facebook just launched its new Facebook Stories feature, which lets you upload a slideshow-like collection of photos and/or videos for a 24-hour period. Your friends can "like" and comment on them, and then they disappear. It also lets you know who's been creeping on your timeline by showing you who has seen your Facebook Stories, as well as which clips of them they've seen. But can you see how many times someone has viewed your Facebook story? And will people be able to know if you're watching and re-watching theirs?
Nope. As with Instagram stories, you cannot tell who's been visiting your story repeatedly and who's caught it only once. So, if you snoop on someone multiple times, you're safe, and you will never know who your true Facebook-stalkers are. You can, however, see how many times total your post has been viewed. To get this information, as well as who has seen your story, tap "[x] views" in the lower-left corner.
Don't want so many people seeing what you've been up to? You can limit who views your Facebook stories when you upload them using an option called Direct, which lets you select who can see it. Otherwise, it goes to all your Facebook friends. You can't block anyone from seeing a public story, unless you block them on Facebook generally.
To use Facebook Stories, swipe right on your newsfeed or tap on the camera in the upper left corner, upload your story, then select who you want to share it with. You can then add videos and/or photos with stickers, text, drawings, and filters. You can even add animated face filters for the first time. Depending on who you choose to broadcast the story to, your friends will see it in the Direct feature or at the top of their main screen.
