This Is Who Allegedly Bit Beyonce & You Definitely Didn't See This One Coming
The mystery that's had the internet buzzing all week may have been solved. According to Page Six, the actor who bit Beyoncé is allegedly Sanaa Lathan. However, Lathan has denied that she's the mystery biter. On March 26, the Love & Basketball actor wrote on Twitter, "Y'all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyoncé, and if I did it would've been a love bite." Bustle reached out to Lathan's reps for comment and did not immediately hear back.
Actor Tiffany Haddish is responsible for making the world ask, "who bit Queen Bey?" The Girls Trip star claims that an unnamed actor bit the singer in a recent GQ interview. Allegedly, the actor in question had their hand on Jay-Z's chest, prompting Beyoncé to confront them. The incident allegedly led to Haddish asking the performer if the star had really bitten her, to which the icon responded in the affirmative. However, the person who allegedly bit Beyoncé was always meant to remain nameless, not only because the singer values her privacy, but because Haddish reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement. Beyoncé's representative, Yvette Noel-Schure, told GQ, "I absolutely cannot comment on any of this, as I have no knowledge."
Of course, that hasn't stopped the internet from speculating. In the past week, everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Rosario Dawson have landed on the suspect list, as has Lathan. Page Six is reporting that numerous unnamed sources have confirmed the actor as the mystery biter, and that the bite was playful.
Allegedly, Lathan and Jay-Z were chatting at a D'Usse VIP party backstage when things got a little heated between the actor and Beyoncé. Page Six's sources allege that the actor "playfully" bit Queen Bey on the chin while the two were having a confrontation. One source allegedly said, "It was a big thing in the moment at the party, everyone was talking about how anyone would dare to do that."
Haddish said in her interview that she told Beyoncé that she would be happy to "handle" the biter, but the music queen told the star to simply have a good time. Basically, every part of this story is mind-boggling, and it just keeps getting stranger. Even Chrissy Teigen has weighed in on the incident. After expressing her need to know the answer to the mystery on Twitter, the model later revealed on the Today show that she does know who did it now, and it's not who she thought. Teigen said, "There was a bite, yes. Listen, I think we've all done things under the influence." She also noted that she "loved everyone involved."
But is Lathan truly the biter? The actor denied the claim days ago, and none of the sources from Page Six are on the record. That means this case is far from solved. Although, according to Vulture, Haddish reportedly previously told the anecdote during a comedy show this past January in Jacksonville, Florida. At the time, the actor reportedly said that the person who bit Beyoncé had previously dated French Montana — a rapper whom Lathan has been connected to in the past.
Lathan has not yet responded to Page Six's report, although, there's a good chance that she will given that she spoke out about the allegations before. Perhaps the best thing everyone can do is follow Queen Bey's lead and stay chill — according to Haddish's story, the singer made it clear that whoever did the biting is a person that she likes, who happened to have a bad night. And while there's nothing more frustrating than an unsolved mystery, this is one case that fans may have to accept may never be fully closed.
