Peter Weber Just Revealed That He Doesn’t Speak To Kelley Flanagan Anymore
“The relationship ended up not working out in the long run, and that’s OK.”
We were all rooting for The Bachelor’s Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan when they announced that they were moving to New York together late last year. But alas, not even two weeks later, the former couple shocked Bachelor Nation when they announced their split. At the time, the pair didn’t divulge many details. However, in March, Flanagan revealed what ultimately caused their breakup on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off The Vine podcast. And now, Weber told E! News about the current status of their relationship, which is apparently non-existent.
“Obviously, I wish her well and everything,” the former Bachelor said before revealing that they’re no longer on speaking terms. “I just want her to be happy, more than anything, but ... we're not in contact anymore. But definitely, I'm always rooting for her and want her to find her happiness.” Peter’s update came after the 29-year-old lawyer called him out last month for his poor communication skills and for failing to address the issues in their relationship.
“If I could put it in the best way, I think that on my end, there was just a lot of non-negotiables in the relationship,” Flanagan told Bristowe at the time. “Actions kind of speak louder than words and it takes a long time to figure that out. If there was something that I saw as disrespectful in the relationship, I would speak on it and I was pretty vocal. Communication is huge in a relationship and there were things where I would essentially be like, ‘Hey, this makes me feel like sh*t. This makes me feel like this way.’”
Flanagan went on to explain that things “weren’t really changing” and that the exes were “definitely struggling,” despite presenting themselves publicly as a happy couple on the cusp of moving in together. “I essentially asked him if I could have a couple of days to process it myself before we let the entire world know and I wanted to tell my family and my friends and just be able to process it within myself before I have it on blast ... that necessarily wasn't granted,” she said.
Interestingly, Flanagan added that shortly after their split, the 29-year-old pilot reached out to try and fix things. “He essentially tried to like get back together and was trying to work on things and I was pretty, pretty hesitant towards all of it,” she continued. “I don’t think I will be in communication with him. It’s a place in my past, I'm focusing on my future wishes.” Her future, it seems, includes a new man. And although she didn’t reveal who she’s currently dating, she confirmed to the former Bachelorette that he’s someone who’s not in the public eye. According to an E! News source, the mystery man might also be the reason that she reportedly turned down Bachelor in Paradise.
Weber, for his part, has not directly responded to anything Flanagan said in her conversation with Bristowe. He did, however, reiterate that their relationship meant a lot to him and that he will always cherish the time they spent together. “You know it was a great relationship and I'll always care so deeply for her,” he told E! News. “The relationship ended up not working out in the long run, and that's OK, and I learned so much from her and I’m so thankful that she came in my life. I truly want nothing but all the best things for her.”
