ITV’s reality dating juggernaut Love Island is back with some major changes and a brand new batch of singletons on the lookout for love. The hotly-anticipated new season kicks off on Monday, June 6, and will see this year’s islanders settle into a brand spanking new Love Island villa. Among the 2022 contestants is a 22-year-old student who thinks appearing on the reality hit is a “great opportunity” to meet someone new. Here’s everything to know about Love Island’s Liam Llewellyn, including some of his rather questionable chat-up lines.

What Is Liam’s Job?

Based in Newport, South Wales, Llewellyn is currently a Masters student, specialising in strength and conditioning.

What Is Liam’s Instagram?

As one of the first Love Island season 8 contestants to be announced, Liam’s Instagram follower count has risen sharply. At the time of writing (May 30), Liam has just over 3,000 followers — a number that is likely to grow in the coming weeks. Some of Llewellyn’s pre-Love Island Instagram pics include snapshots of his life as a student and the occasional gym selfie.

What Else Is There To Know About Liam?

Liam appears to be very optimistic about his forthcoming Love Island stint, and believes that the ITV reality show is a great place to “get to grips with what you really like about people.” The Welsh native also believes that 22 is a “really nice age to meet someone” because “you’ve got your years ahead of you so you have time to experience stuff and grow together.”

In addition to finding the perfect partner, Liam thinks he’ll bring some “good energy” to the villa. “I’m good company to be around and I’m smiley ... I’ll definitely bring some positive energy.”

Llewellyn also revealed that his closest friends and family would describe him as “quite generous, quite caring, happy, chatty, chirpy, bubbly.” He continued: “I wear my heart on my sleeve. I can’t hide how I feel about anyone. I’m probably quite emotional as well, come to think about it.”

As for his strategy for finding love on the ITV dating show, Liam is confident that his go-to pick-up lines such as “your eyes are piercing, I’m lost in your eyes” and “you’ve got nice feet” are sure to win over the Love Island ladies.

Love Island starts at 9 p.m. Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
