Kendall Jenner Isn’t Ready To Have A Baby Amid Her Mom’s Wishes

Apparently, 11 grandchildren is not enough for Kris Jenner. All of the momager’s famous children have their own kids except one of her daughters, and she’s trying to fix that. On the May 26 episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kris attempted to convince her 26-year-old daughter Kendall Jenner that she should have a baby soon — and got shut down very quickly.

After breaking the news that Kendall lost her Vogue cover to sister Kim Kardashian, Kris moved on to an even more uncomfortable conversation. “When it comes to you guys, I get so excited and proud,” she said. “I was just thinking, maybe it’s time to, you know, have a baby.” Immediately, Kendall started choking on her coffee before setting her mom straight. “You keep telling me, ‘You’re not getting any younger,’ but guess what, mom? It’s my life, K? I don’t know if I’m ready yet,” she told Kris, who hilariously reacted by asking, “Are you sure it’s your life?”

Kris went on to argue that she’s the one that actually has control over Kendall’s eggs. “Let me tell you a little fun fact: When you were born, I made your body inside my body, so I made your eggs inside of me, that means that I made...” Kendall responded, clearly questioning her mom’s life choices, “...my eggs, yes I’ve seen this on TikTok, are you watching TikTok?”

In a confessional, Kendall explained why she’s not ready just yet to add her own child into the huge Kardashian-Jenner brood. “I still have a lot I need to figure out before I can, like, welcome a child into my life,” she said. “I’m still just enjoying life on my own, and I’m OK with that right now.” While she may not be getting her way now, Kris still wanted her to be prepared for when the time came, even calling her OB-GYN for backup so they could urge Kendall to freeze her eggs as soon as possible. “OK well, I think it’s unanimous, we’re going to have a baby. Yay! So happy for you,” Kris told Kendall, who shut it down with a quick “no.”

Despite what she’s telling her mom nowadays, Kendall has been open about her desire to start a family — eventually. “I am ready to wait,” she told Vogue in 2018. “I want to have kids, but at, like, 28 or 29.” In a more recent interview with Extra, she explained that she’s happy “living life as a free bird” for the time being. “But I do get baby fever a lot of the time,” she admitted. “Especially with [Kylie’s] newborn ... I hang out with all of [my nieces and nephews], and I’m like, ‘It would be so fun to have one too.’ But I’m chilling.”
